Guide To Available Fabrics For Custom Jerseys, Team Uniforms And Apparel
The following fabric information is given as a guide to fabric selection when making custom uniforms and as a reference for in-stock uniforms.
Please refer to the AK Fabric Color Chart for specific information on which colors are available for each type of fabric for all Athletic Knit apparel and the Dynamic color chart for all Dynamic Team Sports apparel. These color charts only apply to in-stock fabrics, they do not apply to custom dye sublimation which can be made in any color. For information about all other manufacturers' fabric options, please contact our sales team.

PROwick 100% polyester heavy weight 12 oz. moisture-management fabric that wicks the moisture off your body leaving you cool and dry. Commonly used for all sports where a breathable performance fabric is desired. Not recommended for tackle football because of the slight stretch. |

KOOLwick 100% polyester lightweight, yet strong. This is a lighter weight version of our PROwick moisture-management fabric that wicks the moisture off your body leaving you cool and dry. Used for all sports where a lightweight breathable performance fabric is desired. Koolwick is being phased out and is replaced by Dry-Flex. |

Dry-Flex 100% polyester moisture-management fabric similar to Koolwick but is a little bit lighter weight and has a two-way stretch, used primarily for baseball/softball, basketball, volleyball or anywhere a lightweight breathable performance fabric is desired. |

AK Knit 100% polyester heavyweight 150 denier knitted fabric commonly known as "airknit." Primarily used for hockey and baseball. Very breathable. |

Heavyweight 12 oz. 100% polyester doubleknit. Heavy, tightly-woven fabric is not breathable. Used mostly for baseball pants. Also used for "throwback" style jerseys where garment is worn for fashion and breathability is not an issue. |

100% polyester woven fabric is shiny. Commonly known as "dazzle" cloth. Primarily used in the shoulder/sleeves for football and lacrosse jerseys and in basketball uniforms. Not breathable and tends to stick to your skin when sweating. |

Durastar Mesh 100% polyester heavyweight 150 denier mesh. Shiny fabric used for all sports. This is our pro game mesh. Very breathable, comfortable in warm weather.

Polymesh 100% polyester lightweight 75 denier mesh fabric. Similar to Superstar mesh in a lighter weight fabric. Commonly used for roller hockey, or baseball/softball, or any time a light weight mesh fabric is desired. |

100% polyester heavyweight mesh. Commonly known as "porthole" mesh. Used primarily for practice football jerseys and as ventilation inserts in ice and roller hockey jerseys. |

Polycotton 50/50 poly/cotton blend. Available in two weights, 6.5 oz. and 9 oz. Smooth woven fabric is somewhat breathable but without any moisture-wicking properties. Comfortable in warm weather. Used for baseball, softball, volleyball, field hockey, girl's lacrosse. |
